Electrical Connection

  • User is recommended to use a cable of min.Temperature withstand capacity of 90°C.

  • Use flexible cables.

  • Paralleling of the capacitor should not be done at the capacitor terminals as shown in the figure. Ensure that the paralleling is done at contactor side and two separate cables are coming to the capacitor terminals from contactor(See figure with"Right"connection).

This instruction is applicable for all types of terminals in Var Plus can.


Ventilation

  • Capacitors, contactors, fuses and electrical connections generate heat dissipation(about 2.5 W/kvar total or 8 W/kvar with series reactors).

  • Specific precautions must be taken in order not to exceed temperature values of -25℃/+55℃ (class D) category around the capacitors inside the cubicle. (refer to"Installation Guide"for moreinformation).

  • The airflow inside the cubicle must go from bottom to top.
